The man behind the Eagles plan Saquon Barkley admits he “really loves”
The Philadelphia Eagles switched up their pre-game preparation style this week, leaving one player in particular especially delighted.

The Philadelphia Eagles have tweaked their attacking system, and it’s gone down like a spoonful of sugar for their star player, Saquon Barkley, who recently admitted that he “really loves” it.
And it’s Nick Sirianni who is the man on everyone’s Christmas card list in Philadelphia.
Reports emerged during the week that revealed the 44-year-old had taken on a more hands‑on approach in this week’s offensive meetings for the Eagles, addressing the group personally before handing things off to offensive coordinator Kevin Patullo, who remains the play‑caller.
The timing matters. The Eagles, sitting at 8–4, have struggled of late. Their offence ranks 24th in total yards, 23rd in passing and 22nd in rushing, surprising for a squad both with top‑tier salaries and fan expectations. Over their last four games, they have averaged just 15.5 points.

“I’m excited, we’re excited to go out there”
As for Barkley, when asked about tweaks to the running scheme under this adjusted game‑planning setup, he didn’t hold back: “I really love the game plan... I’m excited. We’re excited to go out there and to put together a complete game -- offence, defence, special teams," he beamed.
That kind of buy‑in from such a key figure, both on and off the field, is immeasurable for a team on the wobble. Barkley joined the Eagles in free agency because, as he put it previously, the organisation has a winning culture and a passionate fan base. The hope for Philadelphia now is that the Sirianni’s plan, combined with Barkley’s commitment which has ignited the fans, can spark a turnaround.
Sirianni’s shift back towards what is the bread and butter of his coaching career is also telling. His time in the game before becoming head coach was built on offence, having coached quarterbacks and receivers, and serving as an offensive coordinator in a past life.
