The idea that fans want the look of the Chiefs’ star tight end shouldn’t come as a surprise given what’s at stake. Yet, on the other hand, it’s the beginning of the end as fans look to secure their peace of history.

Travis Kelce & the cost of a cut

As a celebrity, you’ve always got to take stock of how you look when leaving the house. With that in mind, it should come as no surprise that many stars spend a whole lot of money when it comes to their appearance. This of course leads to a conversation about the NFL, its biggest players, and where things are at right now. Now, in case you’re lost, what we’re really talking about is Travis Kelce and his haircut. $1,000. That’s how much it will cost you to get the same haircut as the Chiefs’ star and that’s before we factor in the cost of flying cross country to get the cut you want.

Who is Travis Kelce’s celebrity hairstylist?

A good question, but also one that’s got an interesting back story. The man in question is Patrick Regan, although you may know him by his Instagram name, @patty_cuts4, a stylist who has been responsible for the haircuts of many sporting legends and celebrities. “In my room, I used to cut out magazines of all the players and put them on my walls - I’ve been such a big fan of sports for so long and admire these guys,” said Regan. Indeed, the barber couldn’t hide his pride about being responsible for the most fashionable cuts around.

Interestingly, Regan also recounted his younger years, during which he couldn’t have imagined the situation that he now finds himself in, which is to say, calling celebrities his friends. Indeed, from UFC fighters, all the way to Sean ‘Diddy’ Combs, Regan has amassed an impressive list of clients. “It’s really cool to see the other side of it,” he said. “Like, I’m friends with that best player now.”

Travis Kelce, Taylor Swift, what more do you want?

Whether you’re a fan or not, Taylor Swift is as big as it gets. Even the Chiefs’ star has had to admit that he wasn’t ready for the level of attention he has received since the pair began a relationship last September. With that in mind, it should come as no surprise that his hair has become a topic of discussion. If you’re wondering, Kelce’s haircut has literally inundated barbershops with requests. “It’s cool to see everyone now asking for [Kelce’s haircut],” Regan said, adding that it’s indicative of Kelce’s “icon” status. “I have barbers that message me...’Hey, someone just came in and showed a picture of your haircut on Travis for me to do.’ And I can’t tell you how many times I got those messages.”

Of course, added attention for any business is always welcome, but Regan isn’t losing focus, as he spoke openly about the connection between a person’s hair and their self-image, even more so when dealing with someone who is in the spotlight. Reminiscing about his first celebrity client, former Jets cornerback and Hall of Famer, Darrelle Revis, Regan described him as “really nervous,” before going on to explain that “I always just wanted to do the best possible work because I know that work is going to be seen forever because they’re on TV, they’re on social media and stuff like that.” What’s now clear, is that Regan has most definitely shown his worth. “I had lines coming through my door to my basement,” he recalled. “So, God bless my mom and my dad for letting all these random kids come in the house.”

But, is Patrick Regan a Philadelphia Eagles fan?

Yes, he is. What’s more, is that Regan actually has the logos of Philly’s local sports teams tattooed on his arms, something that he says works in his favor. “I know a lot about these guys’ backgrounds that I was cutting, so it helps me kind of connect with them a little more,” he explained before adding that in the end, it’s all about the vibe. “But the main thing is they want to feel comfortable around you,” he said. Ultimately, while it is inspiring to see Regan’s story and the way in which he has risen the ranks, the real question is, whether his cut can help Travis Kelce win a Super Bowl this coming Sunday.
