The unfortunate NFL team with the fewest picks in the 2026 Draft
The 2026 NFL Draft begins this week, but in the seven rounds held over the course of three days, one team will make just four total selections.
The 2026 NFL Draft begins this week in Pittsburgh, Pennsylvania. The first round takes place on Thursday, followed by Rounds 2-3 on Friday and 4-7 on Saturday.
The order of the selections is the reverse order of the standings from the previous season, so that the team that did the worst gets the first overall pick, while the Super Bowl champions pick last in each round. In 2026, those teams are the Las Vegas Raiders and Seattle Seahawks, respectively.
Of course, the draft order changes drastically with teams making trades and the league adding compensatory picks based on offseason moves as well. That leaves some lucky teams with more than 10 picks in the draft, while others have much fewer. And one unfortunate team this year has just four.
2026 NFL Draft: The team with the fewest picks
In the 2026 Draft, the Seattle Seahawks hold the fewest number of picks with just four total. I know, the reigning Super Bowl winners - boohoo, right? If someone needs to have the fewest, it may as well be them.
The Seahawks, who ended the 2025 regular season at 14-3 and beat the New England Patriots in Super Bowl LX, made multiple trades during the offseason, giving away both their fourth and fifth-round picks. Here’s what they are left with:
- Round 1, No. 32: First-round selection
- Round 2, No. 64: Second-round selection
- Round 3, No. 96: Third-round selection
- Round 6, No. 188: Acquired from Cleveland in the Nick Harris trade
There are reports, however, that Seattle is hoping to trade back for more assets, so this could change at any moment.
2026 NFL Draft: The team with the most picks
The Pittsburgh Steelers are on the opposite end of the spectrum, holding the most draft picks in the 2026 NFL Draft with 12 total. On top of their six original picks, the Steelers were given three compensatory picks and three more via trades.
After the Steelers, the Miami Dolphins, Jacksonville Jaguars, New England Patriots, and Baltimore Ravens all have 11 picks, and the Raiders have 10.
