Update:

Patrick Mahomes may be recovering from a double ligament tear to his ACL and LCL, suffered at the end of the Chiefs’ loss to the Chargers last week, but it has not dented the quarterback’s generosity.

The 30-year-old repeated his 2024 tradition of gifting his offensive line an array of Christmas presents.

The Chiefs posted on their Instagram account: “Christmas came early for the O-line! Shoutout to QB1 for the gifts.”

What did Mahomes gift his offensive line?

The most valuable gifts, in pure cash terms, were Hublot watches, some of which retail for more than $40,000. Mahomes is a brand ambassador for Hublot.

The three-time Super Bowl winner also handed out Full Swing KITs, an indoor golf practice system that analyzes a player’s swing. These retail at around $4,000.

Players also received Aventon e-bikes valued at roughly $1,700, Rimowa aluminum suitcases priced at about $1,500, Beats Studio Pro headphones ($179.99), and Oakley Meta AI sunglasses. The glasses came with customized cases featuring each player’s jersey number.

How much does Mahomes make?

Patrick Mahomes can comfortably afford the gesture. He earns roughly $45 million per year from the Chiefs, in addition to significant income from endorsement deals.

By comparison, his offensive linemen all earn less, though the disparity within the group is significant. Top earners include Jawaan Taylor ($27 million) and Trey Smith ($14 million), while lower-paid players such as C.J. Hanson ($213,000) and Esa Pola ($233,000) sit near the league minimum.
