Von Miller speaks about his third ‘super team’ with Bills

After winning Super Bowl LVI with the LA Rams, the linebacker has his focus on another ring, this time with Buffalo.

A trip to the NFC got the defensive end a Super Bowl ring, now Von Miller agrees terms with the Buffalo Bills and wants to take his winning ways with him

Following his Super Bowl win alongside his Los Angeles Rams teammates, some had Von Miller linked with a move to the Dallas Cowboys for the new season. Instead, we saw him sign a six-year deal with the Buffalo Bills for a rather tasty $120 million.

Miller feeling ‘blessed’ and ‘excited’

The three-time first-team All-Pro linebacker was quick to point out at the time that he had no beef with the franchise he was leaving, and it was more to do with the player needing a new challenge before his career comes to an end. With the talent of Josh Allen at quarterback and a defense that allowed only 272.8 total yards - 163 passing and 109.8 rushing - per regular season game, as well as the fewest points, positive things are expected. It did take, after all, overtime for the Chiefs to better them in the playoffs last time out.

Fans of the Bills, a team Miller calls his third ‘super team’, are getting excited and here’s what their new man has to say in a recent chat with the NFL at mobile, where his career took off.

“It feels great, this is where it all started. I remember coming here and all the staff and all the people here in Mobile were so nice to us, they made us feel at home. I remember hanging with the guys and I remember this is a first taste of NFL competition when you can go out there and prove yourself as well.”

Three Super Bowls with three teams on Miller’s mind

Asked whether he’d considered the prospect of collecting a third ring with three different teams, he couldn’t deny it.

“Alright, yeah you know I have just a little bit. You know, to be able to have and be blessed and be able to go to the three, winning organizations is an honor and privilege. You know you got guys that play their whole career and never make it to the playoffs. And you know, I’m here on my third super team. So it feels good to me.

“In Buffalo, Josh Allen is amazing. The offense is amazing. Our defense has been number one without me, so I’m in. I’m excited to be there.”

On his QB, Miller was feeling blessed to be lining up with another superstar.

“You know he looks like a deer, tiny build, he got the strongest arm in the league, he’s accurate, and I think the light that he has about him, he’s able to lead men and everybody respects him. And you know I’m just excited about being with another cool quarterback, man. It’s a huge blessing for me.”
