WATCH: Cowboys’ DT shoves Rams staff member during joint practice

Joint practices often involve scuffles, but Cowboys DT Albert Huggins may have taken things a little too far with this move.

The Dallas Cowboys and Los Angeles Rams met three times over the last week, twice in a joint practice and once in their preseason opener on Sunday, which the Cowboys lost 13-12.

Until Wednesday’s joint practice, things had remained surprisingly civil between the two teams.

Cowboys DT shoves Rams staffer

It’s pretty typical to see scuffles between two NFL teams during joint practices. However, it’s usually kept to little brawls amongst the players themselves.

On Wednesday, Cowboys defensive tackle shoved a Rams staff member, pushing him to the ground.

It was at the end of a pass-rushing drill and the 6′3″, 305-pound Huggins, wearing full pads, struggled to stop himself after fighting off a block. Rather than try to avoid running directly into the staffer, however, Huggins stuck out his arms and knocked him over.

That did not sit well with the Rams players, who came running over to Huggins and started a small scuffle that ended quickly.

Huggins only just signed with the Cowboys last week, and his chances of making it onto the final 53-man roster are on the line here. The Cowboys will be making their final cuts by Tuesday, August 27.
