What did Kansas City Chiefs’ coach Andy Reid say about Travis Kelce and Taylor Swift?
Kansas City Chiefs head coach Andy Reid welcomes Taylor Swift at their games in the stands, as long as Travis Kelce making these impressive performances.
After the Kansas City Chiefs secured a notable victory over the Los Angeles Chargers with a score of 31-17, Head Coach Andy Reid couldn’t help but commend his tight end, Travis Kelce, for his impressive performance on the field. Reid, known for his humorous touch on and off the field, took a playful turn by nodding to Kelce’s newfound romance with pop sensation Taylor Swift.
“Kelce is getting better with time,” Coach Reid enthusiastically stated during a press conference that quickly circulated on social media. With a smile, he added, “Taylor can stay around all she wants.”
This isn’t Coach Reid’s first time bringing up Taylor Swift about Kelce’s life. The Eagles, a team he coached before joining the Chiefs, have ties to Swift’s hometown of Philadelphia. A week earlier, Reid reminisced about his acquaintance with Swift’s family. “I knew her from Philadelphia; her dad was a big NFL fan, so I had met her when she was real young, and her dad,” Reid explained before humorously implying that he played a role in setting up Kelce and Swift.
Grinning with the show’s host, Reid playfully asserted, “I joked about setting Kelce up, and, you know, I’m just saying!” In conclusion, he expressed his delight, “She’s a good girl, she’s into it, we’re glad she’s here.”
Following the game, the cameras captured Taylor Swift, 33, and Travis Kelce, 34, leaving the stadium hand in hand. Both sported red attire, with the chart-topping singer showcasing her support for the Chiefs by wearing a vintage 1990 USA Kansas City Chiefs sweatshirt from Ellie Mae Vintage. Meanwhile, the NFL star donned a red plaid shirt, marking an exciting moment for Kelce’s football career and his budding romance with Taylor Swift.
