On 11 February 2024, Super Bowl LVIII will take centre stage, featuring a matchup between the Kansas City Chiefs and the San Francisco 49ers at the Allegiant Stadium. This marks the first time that the event is being held in Las Vegas, Nevada. This year, Usher headlined the Apple Music Halftime Show.

During a press conference on Thursday, the singer revealed some details about what the audience could expect for halftime.

The artist indicated that he drew inspiration from his current residency in Las Vegas to craft the halftime show, taking into account his past, present, and envisioned future. As Super Bowl LVIII and halftime drew nearer, fans of Usher, bettors, and others wondered if the singer would have any guests in his show. Here’s what we saw.

Which guests did Usher have on the Halftime Show?

In an interview with Billboard, the R&B star revealed that there would indeed be extra people involved. “There are special guests. And I’ve considered new songs. But you know, it’s 12 to 15 minutes. So it’s very hard to determine which moment matters more than others, especially with a new song,” he noted.

“But there’s the dancing, the wardrobe, the lighting, how long you stay on a song, the fact that the audience can sing along... It’s a lot. So I’m doing my best not to overthink it,” he added.

In the end, Usher went with Alicia Keys as his first guest, before H.E.R joined in with Lil Jon and Ludacris coming on soon after. CeeLo Green was also present, albeit the star only appeared briefly.

“I’ve definitely had a lot of ideas about who I would share this moment with”, Usher said ahead of the performance, “and I feel like the people who will share it deserve the same recognition for what they do in their careers, whether we’ve collaborated together or they’ve had their own moments,” Usher added, without revealing who or who the guests will be.

On the other hand, while he didn’t reveal the exact songs on his setlist, it could include classic hits like “You Make Me Wanna…”, “Confessions, Pt. II”, “My Boo”, “OMG”, “Burn”, “Love in This Club”, “Bad Girl”, and, of course, “Yeah!”.
