The Kansas City Chiefs host the Cincinnati Bengals at GEHA Field at Arrowhead Stadium on Sunday.

United States Navy Veteran Generald Wilson will sing the national anthem before the Chiefs host the Bengals, the Chiefs announced on Thursday. The Kansas City, Missouri, Fire Department will present the colors.

The flyover will be conducted by four T-38s from Whiteman Air Force Base and there will also be a half-time performance by American rapper Fat Joe.

Who is Navy Veteran Generald Wilson?

Wilson has been singing for professional sports teams for over 20 years. He kicked off the Chiefs’ home opener last September when the team defeated the Los Angeles Chargers.

“For that minute and a half, you’re putting away your differences and you’re singing a song together with the person sitting next to you; the person way across the field or the court,” Wilson said.

“And that minute and a half, you’re coming together because you love this country. And then the excitement is to sing a song that’s close to the original as possible, but still give you that flavor!”
