The Dallas Cowboys won their second NFC East title in three seasons with a convincing win over the Washington Commanders. Never appearing to be in trouble at all, Dallas cemented their claim to the second seed in the playoffs.

With this win, they will face the lowest-seeded team in the playoffs, which came down to the wire. A win by both New Orleans and Tampa Bay left the Bucs in the top spot of the NFC South and the Saints clinging to the bottom rung of the playoffs. A win by Green Bay over the Bears, however, dropped the Saints for the Packers and, by the skin of their teeth, they will face the Cowboys in the Wild Card game.

Green Bay dominated Chicago in their game in every way except the scoreboard, needing most of the first half to take the lead and squandering several opportunities to put the game out of reach.

Jordan Love completed 84.4% of his passes, moving him into second place in the franchise record books. On the ground, Aaron Jones had his third 110-plus yard game, tearing the Bears defense to shreds.

Dallas will have their hands full on the defensive side of the ball, trying to corral this offense, but it is on the offensive side where the Cowboys have to feel that they have the upper hand. The Cowboys are able to score almost at will, and while the Packers defense is stiff, it is by no means impregnable.

Historically, this will be the ninth postseason meeting between these two teams, with the series tied 4-4. The last two meetings, in the 2014 and 2016 postseasons, have gone Green Bay’s way. Dallas will want to turn that tide.
