Why does the Broncos vs Jets NFL Week 6 game kick off so early?
The Denver Broncos and the New York Jets meet this weekend in a game that will be kicking off unusually early in the U.S.
The 3-2 Denver Broncos take on the winless New York Jets in the NFL on Sunday - in a clash that has an unusually early kickoff. When the Week 6 matchup gets underway, it will still be breakfast time across the U.S.
That’s because the Broncos and the Jets are playing in the latest NFL regular-season game to be held across the Atlantic Ocean: for the second occasion this season, London is the venue.
The clash at the Tottenham Hotspur Stadium comes a week after the Minnesota Vikings defeated the Cleveland Browns 21-17 at the North London arena. Later this month, the stadium is also scheduled to host the Los Angeles Rams vs the Jacksonsville Jaguars in Week 7.
U.S. kickoff time and time-zone difference
The NFL has scheduled the Broncos vs Jets kickoff for 2:30 p.m. London time.
The U.K. capital is seven hours ahead of Mountain Time, used in Colorado, and five hours ahead of Eastern Time, used in New York and New Jersey. That means the game will begin at 7:30 a.m. Mountain and 9:30 a.m. Eastern. On the west coast of the U.S., Denver vs New York kicks off at 6:30 a.m. Pacific Time.
NFL International Series 2025 schedule
Sunday’s game in London is the fourth of seven NFL International Series matchups scheduled for the 2025 season.
In addition to the Vikings’ Week 5 win over the Browns, Minnesota also featured in the league’s first ever game in Dublin, losing to the Pittsburgh Steelers in Week 4. In Week 1, the Los Angeles Chargers defeated the Kansas City Chiefs in São Paulo, Brazil.
Additional games are set for Berlin and Madrid in November.
