The Pittsburgh Steelers quarterback, Kenny Pickett, recently underwent ankle surgery due to a high ankle sprain he sustained during the Week 13 game against the Arizona Cardinals. The Steelers expect him to be out for at least a month, but they are optimistic that he can return to play before the end of the regular season. According to reports from ESPN, Pickett’s surgery was successful, and he is expected to recover in time to play against the Baltimore Ravens in the final game of the regular season.

Due to his injury, Pickett will miss the Steelers’ upcoming game against the New England Patriots on Thursday, December 9, and their game against the Indianapolis Colts on December 16. However, he may be back to play against the Cincinnati Bengals on December 23 and the Seattle Seahawks on New Year’s Eve.

Mitch Trubisky will be the Steelers’ starting quarterback in Pickett’s absence. Trubisky was a Pro Bowler during his second season with the Chicago Bears and went 2-3 as the Steelers’ starting quarterback last season.
