The Race to Dubai resumes after a week off, beginning with the Abu Dhabi HSBC Championship, the first event of the DP World Tour playoffs.

The Rolex Series event at Yas Links offers 9,000 ranking points, which can be important for players aiming to qualify for the season-ending DP World Tour Championship.

This championship, held in Dubai next week, will showcase the top 50 players in the world who are available to compete.

In this year’s event, reigning champion Victor Perez will not be present to defend his title; however, the field is led by none other than Rory McIlroy, a four-time Major Champion. McIlroy is joined by an impressive lineup of fellow Major winners, including the Australian golfer Adam Scott, the Englishman Justin Rose, and the Irish star Shane Lowry, all of whom bring a wealth of experience and skill to the competition.

Notable Rolex Series champions such as Robert MacIntyre, Tommy Fleetwood, and Min Woo Lee are also set to participate. Additionally, the South African Thriston Lawrence and Denmark’s Rasmus Højgaard will be competing; they currently hold second and third place in the season-long rankings.
