Sungjae Im is the bookmakers’ favourite to win this week’s 2024 Wyndham Championship, the final event in the PGA Tour’s FedEx Cup regular season. The 26-year-old South Korean, who was joint runner-up in 2022, is priced at +1400 for victory in Greensboro, North Carolina.
Im is followed by the trio of Billy Horschel, Shane Lowry and Si Woo Kim, who are all rated at +2500. The defending champion, Lucas Glover, is valued back at +10000 to retain his title, having averaged 34th place in his last five tournaments.
Is Scottie Scheffler playing at the Wyndham Championship?
No: after his victory in the men’s Olympic golf tournament this week, world No. 1 Scottie Scheffler isn’t in the field for the Wyndham Championship. Scheffler is set to return to action next week at the FedEx St Jude Championship, the first of the FedEx Cup playoff events.
Scheffler leads the PGA Tour’s season-long FedEx Cup standings, whose top 70 players qualify for the St Jude Championship.
When is the 2024 Wyndham Championship?
Played at Sedgefield Country Club, the 2024 Wyndham Championship begins on Thursday August 8, 2024, with the first players teeing off at 6:50am ET/3:50am PT. The tournament, which has been running since 1938, will conclude with its fourth and final round on Sunday August 11.
How can I watch the Wyndham Championship?
Viewers in the United States will be able to watch the Wyndham Championship on the Golf Channel, CBS and ESPN+. The Golf Channel will have live coverage from 3pm to 6pm ET on Thursday and Friday, and from 1pm to 3pm ET on Saturday and Sunday. On both weekend days, the Golf Channel will hand over to CBS from 3pm to 6pm. ESPN+, meanwhile, will offer four streams from first thing in the morning until 6pm ET.
