Biles joins board of directors of “Religion of Sport” founded by Tom Brady
Olympic gold medalist Simone Biles has announced an exciting new venture for her future as fans await to hear whether or not she’ll retire from gymnastics.

As the world awaits Simone Biles' decision on whether or not to retire from gymnastics or compete in the 2028 Los Angeles Olympic Games, the gold medalist has made a big announcement about her future elsewhere.
Biles to join Tom Brady’s Religion of Sport
Biles had a tough go at the 2020 Tokyo Olympics, but she made the best of the experience, speaking out about important mental health challenges, and coming back stronger than ever in the 2024 Paris Olympics, where she won three golds and one silver medal. She left as the most-decorated Olympic gymnast in U.S. history, male or female.
Since then, she’s been touring with the “Gold Over America Tour” and hosting the Biles International Invitational. She’s also been spending time with her husband, Chicago Bears safety Jonathan Owens, as they finally took their honeymoon vacation to a safari in Africa after being married for two years.

Now, for her latest venture, Biles announced that she’ll be joining the board of Religion of Sports, a media company founded by NFL legends Tom Brady and Michael Strahan, as well as filmmaker Gotham Chopra. She’ll be the first to join the board since 2017.
Biles has already worked with Religion of Sports when she filmed her Netflix docuseries “Simone Biles: Rising”, which showcased her comeback from Tokyo to Paris.

“Whether I like it or not, I’ve been around the entertainment space for basically my whole professional career,” Biles told Variety in an exclusive interview. “If you asked me when I was younger, I wanted to be a nurse. I wanted to help people. I wanted to be out in the community.”
“I feel like this is such a unique way to still be in the community, to give back, to tell people stories in a positive manner, in a beautiful way. I’m always around it, always in it, so why not give other people the platform?”
Biles is excited to bring a new perspective to the Religion of Sport team, as she says, “One, because I’m a female, and two, I’m not on a team sport.” She plans to champion projects centered on women, individual athletes, and mental health. She also spoke about her ability to relate to certain unique issues people might have.
“I’m self-funded, so it looks a little bit different than theirs would be,” Biles said. “I feel like I have a lot of insight to bring in the things that I do advocate for. If somebody wants to tell their story, but say they have ADHD, or they were a foster kid, like me, I know the comfortability that you’ll need [to tell it].”
