Neither Saúl ‘Canelo’ Álvarez (63-2-2) nor Terence Crawford (41-0) has ever been knocked out in their professional careers. The fighters wills step into the ring on September 13 in Las Vegas - and the undisputed super middleweight title is not all that will be at stake. Crawford’s undefeated record and the possibility of a knockout by the Mexican superstar add layers of intrigue to what promises to be one of the most anticipated bouts of the year.

When was Canelo’s last KO win?

Canelo will be looking to end a four-year drought since his last knockout victory, which came in 2021 against Caleb Plant. In that fight, Álvarez delivered a devastating combination in the 11th round to shut down the American and claim the undisputed super middleweight crown. Since then, the Mexican icon has fought seven times - including a loss to Dmitry Bivol - with all of his wins coming by decision.

According to BoxRec, Canelo currently holds a 61.9% knockout rate, and he’ll enter the ring backed by a strong contingent of fans. In fact, a recent Ring Magazine poll revealed that 75% of respondents believe one of the two fighters will hit the canvas - a testament to the explosive potential of this matchup.
