It’s a bird, it’s a plane, it’s...aliens? None of the above actually. It’s just skydiving with pyro, but it must be a strange sight from down on the ground.

“Every time we skydive with pyro, people think it’s aliens”

It’s a bird, it’s a plane, it’s...aliens? None of the above actually. It’s just skydiving with pyro, but it must be a strange sight from down on the ground.

Update:

Have you ever looked up into the sky and saw something strange? So much so that it provoked you to call the police, so sure that you saw aliens or a UFO in the sky? Well, not so fast. It could just be your everyday skydiver...with fire. The Red Bull Skydive Team puts on a show with pyrotechnics that you have to see to understand. Red Bull athlete and pro skydiver Jeff Provenzano posted a video on Instagram saying that sometimes people get confused thinking the team is aliens.

“🛸 What in the world? 🌎 Every time we skydive with pyro, the phones at the local 911 dispatch ring off the hook. People believe it’s aliens👽 sightings and other strange phenomenons. That phenomenon is called The Red Bull Global Skydive Team 😎 @redbullairforce @redbullskydiveteam @redbull

What is skydiving with pyrotechnics?

Skydiving with pyrotechnics is just what it sounds like. It’s not something just anyone can do. Red Bull athletes are trained in extreme sports and athletes like Provenzano and Dani Román have years of experience in skydiving, wingsuit flying, and other extreme jumps. When skydiving with pyro, it looks a bit like a falling meteorite. The divers will jump and ignite the pyrotechnics soon after, free falling at high speeds before going into formation flight with the help of wingsuits.

If you think it looks incredible, imagine how it must feel.
