A respected figure in the world of tennis and a close friend of Rafa Nadal, Roger Federer, yesterday expressed his concern for the Spanish athlete’s ongoing struggles with injuries. Nadal’s absence from the upcoming Masters 1,000 in Rome, Italy, has prompted Federer to worry about his friend’s well-being. Having faced his injury setbacks in the past, Federer sympathizes with Nadal’s situation and hopes for a swift recovery.

Nadal’s absence will undoubtedly be felt, given his status as one of the greatest tennis players ever. Nevertheless, Federer remains optimistic and eagerly anticipates competing against the other skilled players in the tournament.

Federer on Nadal

During the Miami Formula 1 Grand Prix, Federer shared with Sky Sports that he thinks the upcoming tennis season would be challenging without Nadal’s participation at Roland Garros. Nevertheless, he remains optimistic that Rafa will compete in Paris.“It would be brutal (Nadal not being there), it would be tough for tennis if Rafa isn’t going to be there. I still hope he goes. I still hope so, I saw he pulled out of Rome, so I wish him the best “.

With the clay Grand Slam on the horizon, there are concerns about Rafa Nadal’s ability to participate due to a recent hip injury sustained during the Australian Open. Nadal, a 13-time winner at the tournament, has been working hard to recover, but it’s uncertain if he’ll make his 19th appearance.

Federer also analyzed Djokovic’s situation and hoped that all tennis players arrive at the Parisian Grand Slam vital, including those who may have played fewer matches like the Serbian. “Obviously, Novak hasn’t been playing that much, so I hope he’s going to be strong as well and then all the young guys coming through as well. I’ll be watching that’s for sure.
