History in the making as Benn and Eubank meet again in London
35 years after their father’s met in the ring, Conor Benn and Chris Eubank Jr. meet in North London.
All eyes in the boxing world will be firmly fixed on North London on Saturday night as the Tottenham Stadium hosts Ring Magazine’s first-ever boxing card: ‘FATAL FURY: City of the Wolves’, which will be headlined by Chris Eubank Jr and Conor Benn in a middleweight clash on Saturday April 26.
Conor Benn (23-0-0, 14 KOs) and Chris Eubank Jr. (34-3-0, 25 KOs) will continue their fathers’ rivalry and face off this some 35 years after Nigel Benn and Chris Eubank, two of the most famous British boxers of the 90s, faced each other twice in the ring and, this weekend, their sons will follow in their footsteps.
Benn has spent a month and a half training in Mallorca and his father spoke about his great physical condition with The Ring. “The training camp has been absolutely spectacular,” Nigel said upon arriving at London Luton Airport, just days before the fight.
Saturday’s fight is a total sellout so fans will have to make do with alternative methods to see this historic bout.
