When Jack Catterall gave Josh Taylor the fight of his life back in February everyone agreed that a rematch was in order. Taylor was the undisputed super lightweight champion and Catterall gave good account of himself.

Instead of the rematch, however, Taylor chose to take a fight for bigger money in New York against Teofimo Lopez. Taylor looked completely washed out and lost his WBO belt in a stinker to Lopez. Since then, every other belt has vacated and parcelled out to other fighters, with Taylor left with none of his previous silverware.

Now, the rematch is on, and these two will be fighting for a shot at moving closer to a title fight or at least a little bit of pride. And of course, there is money on the line.

There is reportedly a $1.2 million purse to be split between the fighters, with Taylor taking $750k and Catterall taking $500k. If PPV sales exceed half a million buys, then both will be in line for a bonus. Should this happen, Taylor will reportedly earn $1.8 million and Catterall will earn $1.5 million.

It must be noted, that these figures are subject to change. In boxing, nothing is ever final until all the tickets are counted.
