How much prize money did Tommy Fleetwood win at the 2025 Tour Championship?
The 2025 Tour Championship purse will be a little different since there has been a format change. Here’s how much Tommy Fleetwood earns for his victory.

Tommy Fleetwood finally captured his first career PGA Tour victory at the 2025 Tour Championship, winning both the tournament and the season-long FedEx Cup title. The 34-year-old Englishman, who had endured 164 starts, 44 top-10 finishes, and six runner-up heartbreaks without a win, closed with a 68 to finish at 18-under at East Lake Golf Club.

Fleetwood’s massive prize for 2025 Tour Championship win
Fleetwood handled Sunday’s pressure better than his challengers, capitalizing on Patrick Cantlay’s early mistakes and maintaining his lead with clutch birdies on the back nine. Despite a brief scare on the par-3 15th, he steadied himself and reached the 18th with a comfortable cushion.
The 2025 Tour Championship at East Lake Golf Club served as the PGA Tour’s season finale with a slightly different prize structure than in recent years. Instead of the massive $83 million purse and $25 million winner’s payout previously awarded, this year’s event features a $40 million purse, with $10 million going to the champion. Much of the FedEx Cup money had already been distributed earlier in the playoffs following the Wyndham Championship and BMW Championship, rewarding top finishers before the finale.
The victory not only earned Fleetwood $10 million but also cemented his place in history as just the second Englishman to win the FedEx Cup, following Justin Rose in 2018 - and the first to do so by winning the Tour Championship itself.
At East Lake, all 30 competitors are guaranteed a big payday - last place earns $355,000, while everyone inside the top eight will clear at least seven figures. The top five prizes range from $2.75 million up to the $10 million winner’s check.
