How many Grand Slams has Carlos Alcaraz won?

Top seed Alcaraz went into Sunday’s final as the firm favorite as he looked to claim his seventh Grand Slam title.

Prior to this year, however, the Spaniard had never gone beyond the quarterfinals at the Australian Open. Alcaraz’s six previous major victories had been evenly spread across the other three Slams, winning the US Open in 2022 and 2025, Wimbledon in 2023 and 2024, and Roland-Garros in 2024 and 2025.

At the age of just 22, Alcaraz is the youngest man to complete the career Grand Slam. Djokovic previously held that record, doing so at 29.

Carlos Alcaraz’s Australian Open 2026 prize money

This year’s Australian Open featured a record-breaking $75 million prize pool, a 16 percent increase from last year and the highest total in the tournament’s history.

Alcaraz will take home $2.7 million for winning the men’s singles title in Melbourne, an increase of $600,000 from 2025.

Elena Rybakina collected the same amount for winning the women’s singles title against Aryna Sabalenka on Saturday.

Djokovic, the runner-up in the men’s final, will pocket $1.4 million.
