Holders Spain and 11-time champions Argentina start as favourites in the men’s category as the 2024 FIP World Padel Championships kick off in Doha.

The world’s top men and women’s padel teams meet in Doha (Qatar) with Spain and Argentina highly fancied ahead of the 2024 FIP World Padel Championships which gets underway at the Khalifa International Tennis & Squash Complex in the Qatari capital on Monday, 28 October with the tournament concluding on 2 November.

16 teams will participate in both the men’s and women’s competition composed of four groups of four teams with the top two progressing to the quarter-final stage.

Men’s draw

Group A: Argentina, Belgium, Italy, USA
Group B: Spain, Paraguay, Mexico, UAE
Group C: France, Chile, Uruguay, Qatar
Group D: Portugal, Brazil, Netherlands, Sweden

Group A: Spain, Germany, Brazil, Chile
Group B: Argentina, Portugal, USA, Egypt

Some of the biggest names in the game will be in action in Qatar with padel fans able to see the likes of Spain’s Juan Lebron, Paquito Navarro, Ale Salazar, Portugal’s Sofia Arajuo along with Argentine hot shots, Agustin Tapia and Dede Chingotto.

Spain are the reigning champions in the women’s section with Argentina looking to add to their 11 world titles.

When does the 2024 FIP World Padel Championships start?

The action in Doha gets underway at 2pm local time at the Khalifa International Tennis & Squash Complex, this is 12pm CET or 7am (ET).

Padel fans in the United States will be able to watch the live action online from Doha via Red Bull TV with the channel showing all the games from both courts 1 and 2.
