Jake Paul calls out former world champion

The social media celebrity and boxer is facing Tommy Fury on Saturday, but Paul seems to have some ambitious plans for the future.

He wasn’t expected to do great things in boxing, and while he has still a lot to prove, he has managed to remain undefeated and find his place in the sport.

Jake Paul has become the aim of many fighters who want to share the ring with him to be the first to knock him out and receive a nice paycheck.

It’s undeniable that the social media celebrity has smartly carried his perennial boxing career, carefully studying and choosing his opponents while efficiently advertising his fights, no matter what his methods are.

Paul is fighting Tyson Fury’s half-brother Tommy on Saturday in what many believe is his biggest challenge to date, but the American believes his boxing skills, which he has been working on since he started his boxing career in 2019, will be enough to get another win.

A former world champion next?

The younger of the Paul brothers seems to be working on his next project, a fight against former super middleweight world champion Carl Froch.

Paul has called out The Cobra after he called the American a “performing clown” with a message on Twitter, telling the Brit he would earn the right to fight him if he first defeats MMA legend and now boxer Anderson Silva.

It seems unlikely Froch will fight Silva, as the Brit probably feels he doesn’t need to earn the Paul clash due to his brilliant boxing career and because an aged Silva would be no threat to him.

Froch recently said the Paul fight “would be a mismatch” and that he would only need to do the bare minimum of training to get ready for a duel with him.

Even at age 45, Carl Froch, a Hall of Famer and an all-time British great, would probably be considered the favorite against Paul, who hasn’t fought this level of opposition. But the question here is if Paul is just toying with the idea of facing Froch or if he means it.
