Update:

Manu Menéndez’s recent triumph at the national FEKM (WAKO) championship has made the possibility of joining the renowned Senshi promotion more tangible than ever.

In his latest bout on February 15, Menéndez delivered a dominant performance. It was in the second round that, after landing a powerful combination, he sent his opponent to the canvas, forcing the referee to administer repeated counts before ultimately stopping the fight. The official victory, however, was declared in the fifth round.

Menéndez triumphant over Núñez

His exceptional endurance and cardio throughout the fight were the result of an intense training camp under the guidance of coach Iván Garrido from the GK-1 team. Standing atop the ring ropes, Menéndez celebrated his revenge victory with emotion – just as Cristyan Núñez, his opponent, had done the first time they faced each other.

Training at the High-Performance Center and traveling to Italy for his first WAKO World Cup in the -71 kg category, representing Spain, are among the rewards Menéndez has reaped from his recent success. However, his biggest challenge remains: securing a contract with Senshi, where he would join some of the best fighters in the sport and cement his place on the global stage of kickboxing and Kyokushin karate.

Through his relentless work and discipline, Menéndez continues to open new doors, proving that he is ready for the next challenge.
