The so-called ‘Battle of the Billionaires’ could well be the most watched bout in the history of combat sports, and with at least one of the men said to be training with former professional fighters, the anticipation has only increased.

Mark Zuckerberg trains with UFC Israel Adesanya & Alexander Volkanovski

It’s been a few weeks since he agreed to fight Elon Musk in a cage match, and it seems that Facebook founder, Mark Zuckerberg, is taking the challenge very seriously as is now evidenced by the fact that reports have confirmed he is training with a pair of UFC champions in preparation for the potential fight.

Indeed, reports now indicate that Zuckerberg has spent the past few days training with UFC middleweight champion Israel Adesanya and UFC featherweight champion Alexander Volkanovski. Interestingly, it’s understood that both men flew directly to Zuckerberg’s Northern California residence following Saturday night’s UFC 290 event in Las Vegas. According to reports, training sessions between the three have now moved to Lake Tahoe, Nevada. Adesanya himself took to social media on Tuesday to give an update as he shared a photo of himself alongside Zuckerberg and Volkanovski. The photo was accompanied by a caption in which Adesanya gave props to the 39-year-old’s competitive spirit. “No fugazi with Mark,” Adesanya wrote alongside an emoji of a shark. “This is Serious Business!!” Incidentally, Zuckerberg also commented on the photo thanking the UFC stars for their help, before saying it was “an honor” to train with them.

UFC’s Dana White is convinced we will see Musk vs Zuckerberg

You may have caught recent comments made by UFC president, Dana White, who remains confident that the highly anticipated cage match will actually occur. Just last month, White told the media that both Zuckerberg and Musk are “absolutely dead serious” about the fight. “I was talking to both Elon and Mark last night,” he said. “Both guys are absolutely dead serious about this.” White also acknowledged what we’re all thinking i.e., the clash between the two tech moguls could be the “biggest fight ever in the history of the world.” He then disclosed that his wish is to set up the event as a charity bout.
