Mel Gibson’s controversial gesture to Trump at UFC fight goes viral again
Former President Donald Trump returned to the UFC yesterday and now this viral video from 2021 has returned to social media in which Mel Gibson salutes him.
Former President Donald Trump spent his Saturday night in Miami, watching the UFC 287 fight between Israel Adesanya and Alex Pereira as well as Jorge Masyidal and Gilbert Burns. Trump pleaded not guilty to 34 felony charges last week, of which were accusations of false business records and hush money paid to porn star Stormy Daniels in 2016, when Trump was running for president.
Mel Gibson’s 2021 salute to Trump
Trump’s attendance at the UFC fight has prompted social media to make a 2021 video go viral yet again. During a UFC fight between Conor McGregor and Dustin Poirier, actor Mel Gibson was spotted in the crowd amongst several Trump supporters, giving him a salute.
At the time, Gibson was widely criticized for the gesture as social media went wild with the video, with many people pointing out that he has made anti-semitic and racist comments in the past.
