It initially started last weekend after Tiger Woods stated that talks toward a conciliation deal between the PGA and LIV Golf are moving in the right direction.

Woods added that PGA Tour Commissioner Jay Monahan and Player Director Adam Scott had a productive meeting with U.S. President Donald Trump this month, where they asked him to get involved in talks with Saudi Arabia’s Public Investment Fund who control LIV.

McGinley adds hope of settlement

Speaking to BBC Northern Ireland on Monday, the former Ryder Cup captain, Paul McGinley claimed: “The best thing for the game is to come together somehow - it’s not going to be easy as we’ve seen, it’s taken a long time to get to where we are, but it sounds like we’re closer now than we ever have been.”

“But the main thing is to find some kind of umbrella that both tours can work under as well as the DP World Tour and then try to get some kind of schedule out of that.
