Two years after its conception in South Korea, the CJ Cup moved to Nevada and although it was meant to be a temporary state of affairs, the tournament has remained in the US ever since. Now in its sixth season, South Carolina will host the event.
The CJ Cup fields 78 players, of whom the top 60 will come from the FedEx Cup standings. The winners of Korea’s KPGA Championship and Genesis Championship will join them, as will the top three Korean Tour players in order of merit. The top available player from the Asian Tour as well as the top available Korean player from the same Asian tour will join the top remaining three Korean players from the World Golf Ranking will round out the participants.
