The FedExCup playoffs format has always pitted the best golfers in the world with Tiger Woods winning the first edition in 2007 the list of past winners is a who’s who of recent golfing greats . This year will be more of the same as the number one in the world, Scottie Scheffler leads the race going into the last tournament with last year’s winner, Patrick Cantlay, following him in second place.
Cantlay won the second playoffs event this past weekend , and has has positioned himself as the favorite to win the FedExCup and become just the third player to do it more than once. McIlroy, who has also won a couple of TOUR Championships himself, and Scottie Scheffler, will be the main rivals the current champ will have to face this week. As the best golfers of this year fight for the honor and the money of finishing the season at the top , we look back at the past winners.
