Rory McIlroy wins Genesis Scottish Open: how much will he earn?
McIlroy shot a final-round 68 on Sunday to finish on 15 under and clinch the Scottish Open.
Rory McIlroy is the Genesis Scottish Open champion, winning with birdies on the 17th and 18th holes in gusty conditions on Sunday to clinch the title in remarkable fashion at The Renaissance Club.
The Northern Irishman shot a final-round 68 to finish on 15 under, beating Robert MacIntyre, who held the lead until the end, by a shot.
Victory on Sunday was McIlroy’s first ever professional win in Scotland.
“This is right up there with the best of them,” McIlroy said after claiming his 24th PGA Tour title and 16th on the DP World Tour.
