This is the Azalea drink at the Masters: Here’s an easy recipe to make the Augusta National cocktail
You’ve seen it on TV in the hands of spectators, and now you can make The Masters’ iconic pink drink at home.

Each April, golf’s biggest names head to Augusta National for The Masters. But the real star on some screens isn’t wearing a green jacket – it’s wearing a cherry and a citrus slice.
The Azalea cocktail is as much a part of The Masters experience as Amen Corner or that pimento cheese sandwich. Named after the club’s signature flower – and Hole 13, also called Azalea – this bright pink drink has become the go-to refresher for fans at Augusta.
It’s light, tangy, and easy to make. You don’t need a ticket to the course, just a few ingredients and a decent glass, as you can see demonstrated in the videos I’ve attached below.
What’s in the Azalea cocktail?
Here’s the classic Azalea recipe, just as served at Augusta National:
- 1 1/4 oz vodka
- 5 oz lemonade
- 1/2 oz grenadine
- Shake with ice, pour over fresh ice, and garnish with a cherry and an orange wheel.
That’s it. No fuss. No mystery. It’s lemonade with a kick and a little pink flair. Perfect for sipping as you watch someone else do the hard work of making unreadable putts and chipping out of the nasty rough.
If you’re feeling fancy, Augusta does sell a $64.95 “Azalea Kit” with branded cups and stirrers. But if you’re just here for the drink, grab a bottle of grenadine and go.
