Triple H confirms Shane McMahon’s injury at WrestleMania 39

Triple H gave an update on Shane McMahon’s injury, who returned to WWE for the first time since the men’s Royal Rumble match last year.

WrestleMania 39 came to a close with some great fights, including Roman Reigns’ victory over Cody Rhodes, Austin Theory’s win in John Cena’s return, and some iconic performances, like Snoop Dogg’s WWE debut.

But it was precisely before the famous rapper came out when the most unfortunate event of WrestleMania 39′s second night took place.

Shane McMahon, who made a surprise return for the first time since 2022′s Royal Rumble, fought The Miz, but things took an unexpected turn when he suffered an injury that forced Dogg’s appearance in a match that he ended up winning by knocking the wrestler out.

During the post-WrestleMania 39 press conference, former wrestler Triple H revealed that McMahon had torn his quad during the event.

“Unfortunately, Shane tore his quad early in the match, and not that it was going to be a long match, probably, but going down with a torn quad,” he said.

Snoop Dogg saved the day

Snoop Dogg unexpectedly became one of the biggest stars of the whole event by quickly reacting to McMahon’s injury and getting involved in the show, something Triple H wanted to praise:

My hats off to Snoop. You know, just picking it up and just like, ‘Oh, man, he’s hurt? Alright, I’ll fix that.’ He’s a natural-born entertainer. I’ve known Snoop for years in this environment and what kind of a fan he is, but, man, tonight he put himself, from a respect factor for me, he put himself in a different playing field for me.”

Shane McMahon’s return to the ring happened a few months after his father, Vince McMahon, reinstated himself as WWE chairman back in January.
