UFC Freedom 250 weigh-in at the White House: How to watch on TV and stream online

After several months of preparation, UFC Freedom 250 is finally here. The 14 fighters who will be taking part in the historic event: Ilia Topuria, Justin Gaethje, Alex Pereira, Ciryl Gane, Josh Hokit, Sean O’Malley... etc. will take questions from the media at a press conference at the Lincoln Memorial on Friday evening as pre-fight night expectation enters a new level.

White House weigh-in

On Saturday, the ceremonial weigh-in will take place on the Ellipse with the White House as an iconic backdrop. This has been listed as a free ticketed event, and is open to members of the public who have signed up for the UFC Freedom 250 Fan Fest. Gates to the Ellipse will open at 3:30 p.m. EDT with a host of activities taking place before the weigh-in gets underway at 8:30 p.m. EDT.

It will be a significant moment for Alex Pereira, who has jumped up a weight class to contest the heavyweight title with Ciryl Gane. Under UFC rules, the Brazilian must tip the scales between 205 to 265 lbs (93 to 120.2 kg) in the new division.

Pereira puts on the pounds

Pereira spoke to MMA Fighting about his physical transformation: “Well, I’m not even too focused on the weight. I gotta be functional, I want to feel good. When I was in Brazil, I came back at 117 kilos, which is almost 260lbs, I think. Right now, I’m probably around 255lbs or something like that. I think I lost weight but at the same time gained muscle, so I don’t know the exact figure. I haven’t been weighing myself, but I definitely feel good.”

The UFC Freedom 250 ceremonial weigh-in starts at 8:30 p.m. EDT. and will be streamed live on the official UFC and MMA Junkie YouTube channels. Sunday’s event will be broadcast in the US by Paramount+.
