The Ryder Cup pairings for Saturday afternoon’s four-balls have been announced, with Team Europe in a solid position over Team USA after Day 2’s foursomes at the Bethpage Black Course, leading 8.5 to 3.5.

- Justin Thomas/Cameron Young vs Rory McIlroy/Shane Lowry

- Scottie Scheffler/Bryson DeChambeau vs Tommy Fleetwood/Justin Rose

Team Europe on top
The Europeans have so far dominated the first day and the second morning of the tournament in Farmingdale, New York. They raced into a 3-1 lead in the foursomes yesterday morning and kept the pressure on to finish day 1 with a 5.5 to 2.5 lead.
This morning, DeChambeau/Young proved too strong for Fitzpatrick and Aberg in the opening match to pull a point back for the US, but McIlroy/Fleetwood, Rahm/Hatton and MacIntyre/Hovland all did the business to put Europe in a commanding position, five points ahead.

Europeans break two-decade duck
This is the first time since 2004 that Team Europe has won the opening session of a Ryder Cup held in the U.S.
Luke Donald’s men, who are the defending champions after a 16.5-11.5 win over Team USA in Italy in 2023, are seeking Europe’s first Ryder Cup win on American soil since 2012.
Team USA last won the Ryder Cup in 2021, courtesy of a 19-9 victory at Whistling Straits in Kohler, Wisconsin.
