What belt will be on the line for the Joshua vs Dubois fight?
Anthony Joshua and Daniel Dubois meet up on Saturday at Wembley Stadium in North London.
The focus from the boxing world will be firmly fixed on Wembley Stadium in North London on Saturday as 90,000 spectators are expected as Anthony Joshua faces Daniel Dubois for his IBF world heavyweight title, with the undercard set to get underway at 11 a.m. ET.
The iconic Wembley Stadium is set to host its first fight since 2022 with all 90,000 tickets sold out with Liam Gallagher expected to perform three Oasis classics as part of the evening’s entertainment.
This is one of those fights that could go either way. It could be the moment Dubois announces himself as the future of the heavyweight division, or it could be Joshua’s triumphant return to the throne. Either way, both men know what’s at stake. Dubois may have a puncher’s chance, but in boxing, sometimes that’s all you need.
IBF world heavyweight title belt on the line
The IBF world heavyweight belt is on the line tonight with the belt once held by Joshua back in 2019-2021, was most recently claimed by Oleksandr Usyk, who became the undisputed heavyweight champion after defeating Tyson Fury in May. However, the 37-year-old was forced to relinquish the title after opting for a rematch with Fury instead of facing the mandatory challenger.
Dubois, the current holder of the belt, won the IBF’s Interim title in his last bout. When Usyk agreed the rematch with Fury, the Interim strap was upgraded to the full world championship.
It’s now between Joshua and Dubois, who will face off at Wembley in London with the IBF world heavyweight belt up for grabs.
