The chef is cooking on Friday. Min Woo Lee is sitting at at the top of the leaderboard after shooting 7-under par (-7) on Friday, which puts him at 11-under (-11) for the tournament. Rory McIlroy, Akshay Bhatia and Collin Morikawa are close behind on a course that has yet to dry out after some rain came down earlier in the week.

It’s a challenging course for some and others seem to be at ease while playing at TPC Sawgrass. At the time of writing 66 golfers are 1-under par for the tournament, which puts them on and above the cut line. This week 65 players and ties will get to play on Saturday and Sunday. So, today, Friday afternoon the picture of who’s in and who’s out is becoming clearer as those who teed off early Friday morning are finishing their rounds.

What’s the cut line at The Players Championship?

At the moment the number is 1-under par (-1) for players to move on to weekend play. We still have a long way to go. The cut line could move up or down depending on what happens this afternoon and if the course begins to dry out a little. World No. 1 Scottie Scheffler is still trying to figure things out in 2025, but we’ll definitely see him on Saturday and Sunday.

Some big names are sitting on the cut line at 1-under par (-1): Xander Schauffele and Shane Lowry are some names to keep an eye on this afternoon.
