The golf world was shocked on Friday to hear that Scottie Scheffler had been arrested when trying to access Valhalla golf club. He was taken into the police station and booked for several traffic violations. The world No. 1 shot 5-under on Friday, proving he got past the misunderstanding.

So, after this morning’s news, the players got back out on the course. Everyone was playing catchup to Xander Schauffele, who played some excellent golf Thursay and finished at 9-under par. He got started at 2:38 p.m. and finished Friday with a total score of 12-under par to lead the tournament field into the weekend.

Players had to take on narrow fairways, thick rough and wet conditions on Friday as they grind their way around the Valhalla Golf Club in Louisville, KY. Tiger Woods is one of the big names who missed the cut on Friday. He finished at 7-over par as his struggles continue.

What’s the projected cutline at the PGA Championship?

The cutline has moved to 1-under par. That could move up or down. The top 70 golfers and ties will continue to play over the weekend.

Who are some big names that missed the cut?

Tiger Woods, Phil Mickelson and Dustin Johnson finshed below the cutline. We’ll keep you posted on Saturday morning as some players have to finish their second rounds in Louisville, KY.
