What’s the prize money payout for the field at LIV Golf Bedminster?
LIV Golf Bedminster will witness the new league’s format with 48 players, 54 holes, no cut, shotgun starts, and heaps of money.
“Product… getting the product to show itself,” said Greg Norman, the face of LIV Golf as its CEO and commissioner last week at Trump Bedminster ahead of LIV Golf’s third event since its recent foundation.
Norman was referring to how quickly LIV Golf has come about and the momentum it has generated since the very start. The 67-year-old Aussie emphasized all the ways the initial two events of LIV (six rounds of golf in London and Oregon) “changed the perception of what the new series was all about,” which is to play golf, grow the game, and give more opportunities to golf players.
Speaking of opportunities, the Saudi-backed ‘league’ offers enormous rewards than even the highest-profile golf majors. But even with all the money offered, and all the players signed up, allegations of human rights abuses by its benefactors continues to be an even more enormous subject.
