Most of the golfing world’s eyes are directed towards the Valhalla Golf Club in Louisville, Kentucky, for the 2024 PGA Championships but thoughts also turn to next year and beyond, where future arrangements can be made. As Seth Waugh, PGA of America Chief Executive Officer, previously said: “When we pick golf courses, because we’re the PGA of America, we represent golf at every level. Each of our areas also take enormous pride in hosting a championship.”

The decision for PGA Championships venues is driven by the desire to share the courses among the oragnization’s 41 governing areas representing club and teaching professionals. This ensures fair access and distribution of championship venues. One requirement is to provide an engaging and challenging tournament with genuine participant assessments.

Where will 2025 PGA Championships be played?

In a 2022 announcement, the PGA of America unveiled its expected PGA Championship calendar for the seven years to follow. The calendar features a notable addition to the roster of venues: the city of Frisco, Texas in 2027. This will also be the new PGA of America headquarters location, relocating from Palm Beach Gardens in Florida. This decision is part of its strategic plan to broaden its reach and introduce professional golf to different areas nationwide.

As is clear from the table below, there is a good spread of venues across these seven years.
