Who has broken the record for the most served aces per match?

Miloš Raonic defeated Cameron Norrie with 2:1; however, the highlight was not the comeback but his all-time tennis record for the number of aces.

The Canadian tennis player, born in Podgorica, Montenegro, broke the world record for the number of aces served in a match played in two sets. Raonic served 47 aces; the previous record was held by Ivo Karlović in 2015 when the Croatian managed to serve 45 aces.

2024 Queen’s Club Championships - Round of 32

During today’s Round of 32 match at the 2024 Queen’s Club Championships, Raonic had one break point in the first game but didn’t use it. Then, there was a series of service games in which both Raonic and Norrie took their serves. In the tiebreak, Raonic had a set point at 6:5 but failed to convert it, while Norrie managed to use his first.

Raonic did not want to give up, so immediately after the start of the second set, he took away Norrie’s serve and commandingly guarded the advantage he had gained. There was no break again in the third set, but it was exciting in the tiebreak. Raonic saved two match points and used his fourth to advance to the next round.

In other matches, Jordan Thompson made the surprise of the day. He knocked out Holger Rune, and the result was 2:1 (4:6, 7:6, 6:3). The Australian lost the first set. In the second, he equalized in the tiebreak, while in the third, he made a break at the start and managed to preserve the advantage.
