Who is Sebastien Muñoz?
Muñoz, 29, has been a Colombian professional golfer since 2015, who also played collegiate golf at the University of North Texas alongside fellow professional golfers, Carlos Ortiz and Rodolfo Cazaubón.
In 2016, Muñoz won the Club Colombia Championship on the Web.com Tour, earning himself a Web.com Tour card, and becoming the first Colombian golfer to win on the Web.com Tour. He then earned a PGA Tour card for the 2017 season. From then to 2019, when he won his first PGA Tour tournament at the Sanderson Farms Championship over Im Sung-jae, Muñoz lost his PGA Tour card and regained it back with two 2nd-place finishes and a 3rd-place finish in 2018.
Munoz qualified for the FedExCup Playoffs for the fourth consecutive season and advanced to the BMW Championship for the third year in a row, finishing No. 55 in the official FedExCup standings. He collected three top-10s and made 18 cuts in 25 starts. Last but not least, he was named to the International Team at the 2022 Presidents Cup through captain’s pick.
