Team World are in with an excellent chance of winning the Laver Cup for the third time after a remarkable clean sweep without losing a set in Saturday’s matches, giving them a 9-3 lead going into Sunday’s play.
The story of the day was the USA’s Taylor Fritz recording a stunning straight-sets victory over World No. 1 Carlos Alcaraz. There were also singles wins for Alex de Minaur against Alexander Zverev, and for Francisco Cerundolo against Holger Rune.
De Minaur then teamed up with Alex Michelsen for a doubles triumph over Rune and Casper Ruud, leaving Team World, captained by Andre Agassi, only four points from victory.

The three-day tournament features five sessions of play: two on Friday, two on Saturday, and one on Sunday. A total of 24 points are available, with the first team to 13 claiming victory.
Sunday, September 21, starts with one doubles match. If necessary, up to three singles matches can follow. Each Sunday match is worth three points.
Because Team World can only get to 12 points if they win the opening doubles match, at least one singles match will be played, with two more to follow if neither team has reached 13 points.

What do Team World and Team Europe need to win?
Team World must win two of Sunday’s matches to secure their third Laver Cup victory in eight editions.
Team Europe, meanwhile, needs to win all four matches to win the trophy outright for a sixth time.
Laver Cup tiebreaker
If Team Europe win three matches and Team World one, they will be tied at 12 points each. A decisive doubles match will then determine the Laver Cup winner.
