How the drivers stand

Max Verstappen has already wrapped up the 2022 World Championship, while his Red Bull team are now the Constructors’ Champions. The public’s eyes are now turned toward the race for second, which is a close one between Checo Perez of Red Bull and Ferrari’s Charles Leclerc, who are currently separated by a mere two points.

Leclerc’s teammate Carlos Sainz is at fifth place, 16 points behind Mercedes’ George Russell, while Lewis Hamilton- still looking for his first race win this year- is at sixth place, trailing Sainz by only four points. Lando Norris is a far seventh, while Esteban Ocon, Fernando Alonso, and Valtteri Bottas round out the top ten.
