After the Sprint race, Pérez explained how he overtook Carlos Sainz and Fernando Alonso. He revealed that he took advantage of their errors and made good moves to secure his position on the track.
“Fortunately I could pass over Carlos and Fernando, we had a lot of degradation because we were following each other very closely. Suddenly, I started to feel a lot of pressure from Charles, especially on lap 14, to the point where they got closer than normal, and I had the opportunity to pass both of them,” he said for Formula One.
Now, Checo Pérez will have to handle the classification to know where he will start in the Chinese Grand Prix race on Sunday, next in this year’s Formula One championship.
