Alaba and Tchouaméni injured for Real Madrid: not available for Spanish Super Cup
The two players will not feature in the upcoming Super Cup game against Valencia.

Real Madrid have confirmed that David Alaba and Aurélien Tchouaméni are both injured and will not be able to take part in the Spanish Super Cup games this week.
Both of them together make a pair of injured legs: Alaba’s right calf and Tchouaméni’s left calf both suffered strains that are not going to allow them to feature when Madrid take on Valencia on Wednesday (live on AS USA).
Real Madrid will be looking for a turn in form after their disappointing defeat to Villarreal left the gap ready to be opened by FC Barcelona the day after with a win against Atlético Madrid, an opportunity they duly took.

Real Madrid’s injury statement
In typical Madrid fashion, both the statements on the players were identical in nature, reading:
Following tests carried out today on [David Alaba/Aurélien Tchouameni] by the Real Madrid Medical Services, he has been diagnosed with an injury to the [right/left] soleus. His recovery will be monitored.
Real Madrid official statement
They were published just before the squad list was announced for their trip to Saudi Arabia, which is where the Spanish Super Cup is being held.
Barcelona take on Betis on Wednesday in the other semi-final of the Spanish Super Cup; the final is to be held on Sunday 15 January. All of these games will be covered live by AS.
