What a belter of an FA Cup third round tie we have in store for us on Sunday. Arsenal surprised many last season as the only real challenger to all-conquering Manchester City in the Premier League, and are pushing high once again with half of this campaign complete. Liverpool have been the main rival for Guardiola’s side since he came to town and, after an unexpected dip in 2022/23, are sitting top of the English top flight and look set to be a serious contender for the title and other trophies. As two of the favourites to lift the famous FA Cup come May, one of these two giants will be stepping aside after this huge clash at the Emirates Stadium. We can’t wait!

Arsenal - Liverpool prediction

This game could go either way and much will depend on how many first team players, if any, are rested by the managers. Given the attention this clash will have, I’m betting on two strong XIs being picked and think the home side will nick a thrilling game by a goal.

Prediction: Arsenal 3-2 Liverpool
