Real Madrid vs Barcelona: El Clásico Copa del Rey semi-final times confirmed
The Spanish FA (RFEF) have confirmed the dates and kick-off times for the Barça-Madrid and Osasuna-Athletic semi-final games.
After Monday’s Copa del Rey semi-final draw threw up a ‘El Clasico’ semi-final along with an interesting Athletic Club-Osasuna clash, many were wondering when these games would be played. Real Madrid are involved in both the FIFA Club World Cup and UEFA Champions League and Barcelona too have the matter of a Europa League home and away game against Manchester United to consider.
With the semi-final stage of the competition being a two legged home and away affair, the Spanish FA had to juggle dates to accomodate all involved teams in an already congested calendar. Dates were finalised after a consultation process with television rights holders and match dates and kick-off times have now been confirmed.
Osasuna-Athletic Club
- First leg (Wednesday, 1 March) with a start time of 21:00 (local) / 3pm (ET) / 12pm (PT): El Sadar
- Second leg (Tuesday, 4 April) with a start time of 22:00 (local) / 4pm (ET) / 1pm (PT): San Mames
Real Madrid-FC Barcelona
- First leg (Thursday, 2 March) with a start time of 21:00 (local) / 3pm (ET) / 12pm (PT): Santiago Bernabeu
- Second leg (Wednesday, 5 April) with a start time of 22:00 (local) / 4pm (ET) / 1pm (PT): Camp Nou
