Bayern Munich reach agreement with Liverpool for Sadio Mané
Sadio Mané will join Bundesliga champions Bayern Munich on a three-year deal from Liverpool.
Bayern Munich have reached an agreement with Liverpool for forward Sadio Mané, according to Sky Germany.
Liverpool had rejected Bayern’s opening bids and have asked for around €40m for the 30-year-old. Bayern have agreed to pay the fee and will soon complete the transfer.
Bayern sporting director Hasan Salihamidžić has managed to agree a €40m deal with the Anfield outfit despite earlier reports suggesting the deal could be over the €40m mark.
Mané was ready to join the Bundesliga champions and had a verbal agreement in place.
Mané deal until 2025
Mané is expected to sign a contract that would see him join Bayern for three seasons.
The Senegal international has been at Liverpool since 2016, having joined from Southampton. During his spell at Anfield, he has won the Premier League, Champions League, FA Cup, EFL Cup, FIFA Club World Cup, and the UEFA Super Cup.
In the 2021/22 Premier League season, Mané scored 16 goals and provided four assists in 34 games.
