Cadena SER: Barça get green light from UEFA to compete in the Champions League
UEFA has given Barcelona the go-ahead to play the next edition of the Champions League after analyzing the implications of the ‘Negreira Case’.

Researchers from the UEFA Ethics and Disciplinary Committee have completed their work with FC Barcelona in relation to the ‘Negreira Case’, according to Spain’s Cadena SER.

Their conclusion which has already been communicated to the Catalan club will allow Barça to be admitted to participate in the 2023/24 edition of the UEFA Champions League with Xavi’s side winning the 2022/23 LaLiga title.

The UEFA investigators point out that Barça has not violated any type of regulation that would prevent the club from being ineligible to be left out of next season’s Champions League. The Catalan side will therefore one of the five Spanish representatives (along with Atletico Madrid, Real Sociedad, Real Madrid and Sevilla) in the group stage draw which is set to take place on 31 August.
